Too tired to think of a title

Too tired to think of what to say right now except, the last few days have been amazingly awesome. I am making a lot of new, good friends. And I am so tired. so so so tired. I could easily sleep for 24 hours without waking up.

Usually, I'm a very light sleeper so just to give you an example of how tired I am/was last night, I got home at midnight from a boat cruise and went to sleep. Woke up to find a painting had fallen from my wall a few feet from my head and broke on the ground. And I am pretty positive that falling painting didn't soundlessly fall on my floor.

Okay so without going into too much detail, here's what I've done this week:

Monday: Breakfast at Palace Hotel, bus tour around NYC, lunch at financial center, back to office to work, dinner at Bar Americain, and saw the broadway show Mary Poppins (LOVED it)

Tuesday: Breakfast at Estee Lauder office (with Lauder execs and CEO), tour around the main office, presentations, lunch at the Plaza hotel, work for a few hours, and dinner cruise to the statue of liberty

Wednesday (today): Breakfast at the Palace Hotel, trip to long island to visit and tour Estee Lauder R&D center, made my own lipgloss from scratch, lunch at Woodbury country club, work, and home and bed as soon as I'm done with this hopefully before 9:15

I took lots of pictures from this week so I'll post, go to bed, and give you more details at a later time!

Is this real life?

I can't believe I graduated today! I can't believe I'm moving to New York City tomorrow and I can't believe I have such a great job (also can't believe I start work on Tuesday). This is all happening so fast that I don't even know what to think. Most of it is happiness and excitement but of course there are a few feelings of nostalgia.

Here are some moments that I have gotten a tear or two in my eye...

1) Driving into my driveway on Easter break and realizing it was the last time I was going to be home until like Christmas. (Gonna miss you Fairview)
2) Looking at a picture of me and Will Bryant from our pre-school graduation
3) Today at graduation, when the sun came out and shown JUST on the graduates for about 4 seconds right after we were officially graduated
4) Taking silly pictures with my silly sister yesterday and walking around campus for the last time
5) Saying goodbye to my mom (Happy mother's day, mommy!)

I have loved every second at Carolina and I feel so grateful to have had all the experiences I've had here. With that said, I'm so ready to start my life in NYC and tell you all about it.

I'm going to try to update the blog as much as I can...mostly so I can document my life in New York for myself...but also to entertain yallses. (Question: Can I say "yall" in NYC? I will just stick with yallses that sounds more new yorkerish)

Graduation was really good today. Rick Dees was the commencement speaker at the Journalism ceremony and he was crazy. One of the memorable quotes from his speech was:

"Many of you will grow up to be older than 100...I met one guy last week who was 116 and another one who was 104 and another who was 106 and one thing I realized about all people over 100...they all look like shit."

Not quite sure what was meant by that one but I laughed. Also, it was funny because I recognized his voice from "Rick Dees and the weekly top 40" on the radio.

Here's a picture of me and Will at the JOMC graduation:

I'm all packed and ready to go for my flight tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be really busy in the next few days but I'll be sure to post pictures and updates later this week. Wish me luck!!
